Teledini: Click-To-Communicate
It’s been busy around here and some time since I’ve had a chance to post something to the blog. I’ll get back into it with an update on the newest projects here at Teledini.
1) The new dial-pad has been designed and handed off to the developers for implementation. This update is one we’ve been very excited about for a while and one that will really give Teledini the sleek look we’ve been striving for. Make sure you have your Teledini updating automatically so you don’t miss the latest releases and new features like the dial-pad!
2) Click-To-Communicate. This, I’m excited about. We’re still in the design phase, but will be moving to development soon. A new service, built on the Teledini platform, that will allow any website to “communication-enable” their website. Be it for sales or customer support, the best option out there now is a “Click to Chat” or “Click and we’ll call you back” service. With Teledini, sites will soon be able to easily (with no up-front cost) add a “Click to Communicate” button that allows users to call/chat directly from their browser. The user decides they’d like to speak to a sales person, they click the customizable “Click for Sales” button, and a flash phone appears connecting the call with no intermediary steps. The site only pays when a call is made (on a per minute basis). One example of how I would use this service is when ordering food from a to-go restaurant. I’m looking at the menu online, and rather than pick up the phone (it’s across the room), I just use “Click to Order” and my browser is ringing - no download required. From the restaurant’s point of view, the same phone they always have used just starts ringing, allowing them to take the order. If the restaurant wanted to go one step further, they could use Teledini to answer. This would provide them with widgets to pass data along with the call, i.e. who the customer is, their order history, their address for delivery, past complaints, etc… With only a per minute fee, and an easy self-provisioning setup process, this is sure to be an easy sell. You only pay if your customers use it!
We’ve also updated the sign up process for Teledini, so be sure to let me know if you would like a Beta invite (or ask a friend, users are now able to invite others to the service). Check back here or on our Facebook Page for more updates!

The final version of the new dial-pad for Teledini. After a few iterations, some good feedback (thanks!), and some design work, we’re handing the job off to the development team for release in February! Stay tuned, and be sure to send us a message here or at the newly redesigned Teledini.com to let us know what you think about the design. And again, if you’d like a Teledini invite just let us know and we’ll get you signed up as quickly as possible!

Teledini News: History/Timeline of the Computer Virus
A brief timeline of computer viruses’ biggest moments. From the first self-replicating “Creeper” in 1971 to the cyber-weapon “Stuxnet” of 2010. They do seem to leave out the more recent attacks on Sony, etc…

Sneak Preview of a draft for the new Teledini dial-pad we’ve been working on. We welcome any thoughts / recommendations for the design, just let us know. Not sure exactly when this will be implemented, but you should see it working in the next month or two (hopefully much sooner).

Teledini Beta Release
We’d like to thank our initial group of Alpha users for all of their valuable feedback and support. The Teledini dev team has been hard at work all week in QA for the next big release; we’re moving to Beta! Next week the Teledini offices will see everyone diligently testing the newest features and bug fixes in preparation.
Some notable feature additions include chat (with video!), presence (so you know who to chat with), and a new minimized Teledini bar (with RSS feeds). In addition, current users will be able to invite their friends to join them on Teledini, taking a large step towards public availability. Users will see a ton of bug fixes, content updates, and widget enhancements, including the ability to post status updates to Facebook and tweets directly into the Twitter widget.
Exciting stuff in the works, stay tuned for more updates. If you’re worried you won’t receive a Beta invitation all you need do is ask. Check us out on www.facebook.com/teledini, or at www.youtube.com/teledinimagic to learn more.

Teledini News: Siri Co-Founder, Dag Kittlaus, is leaving Apple
Dag Kittlaus co-founded Siri and was CEO of the voice-recognition company from 2007 on. He has been heading up the speech recognition efforts at Apple since 2010, and his product - Siri - was the highlight of the most recent iPhone 4S release.
His departure is “amicable”, and has been planned for some time. A desire to pursue other entrepreneurial ideas and the Kittlaus family living in Chicago are the cited reasons.

Google+ is a prime example of our complete failure to understand platforms from the very highest levels of executive leadership (hi Larry, Sergey, Eric, Vic, howdy howdy) down to the very lowest leaf workers (hey yo). We all don’t get it.
